This year, Beverly Baker discussed the changes in Aboriginal access to, and inclusion in, mainstream
education since the 1967 Referendum. Beverley is is the CEO of the Aboriginal Education Council NSW (Inc), the first charity
established to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People participate in mainstream
education in NSW. Established in 1963 the Council was a leader in Action Research, Innovation
and Inclusion of and for First Nations’ Peoples in all theatres of education.
